Booking, Cancellation and No-show Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This policy explains how bookings made through MiEspacio work: who sets the rules, what you will see before you confirm, and what happens with deposits, cancellations, no-shows and refunds. The specific conditions for each booking are always those the business shows you before you confirm it.
1MiEspacio's role
MiEspacio is an online intermediary platform that lets you discover local businesses and book their services. When you book through MiEspacio, the contract for the service is concluded directly between you and the business you book with. MiEspacio does not provide the booked service and is not a party to that contract.
Payments connected to a booking (deposits, prepayments or the price of the service) are paid directly to the business through its own payment provider. MiEspacio does not receive or hold those funds.
The platform is operated by Bohdan Hordiychuk (NIF/NIE Y9939706V, Alicante, España). Full identification details are available in the Legal Notice.
2Who sets the rules
Each business defines its own booking conditions, which can differ between businesses and even between services of the same business:
- whether a deposit or upfront payment is required, and its amount;
- how long before the appointment you can cancel free of charge;
- late-cancellation and no-show fees;
- the policy applied to late arrivals;
- refund conditions.
These conditions are shown before you confirm the booking and are included in your booking confirmation and in your account. If anything is unclear, contact the business before booking.
3Before you confirm
Before you confirm any booking you will see, in a clear and accessible way, the pre-contract information required by Spanish consumer law (Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, TRLGDCU):
- the total price of the service, including taxes, or how it is calculated;
- the deposit amount, if any, and whether it is refundable;
- the free-cancellation window and the charges that apply outside it;
- the identity of the business that will provide the service.
Any payment beyond the price of the service requires your express consent: it is never applied by default or through pre-ticked boxes (art. 60 bis TRLGDCU).
4Deposits
Some businesses require a deposit or upfront payment to confirm a booking. In that case, before you confirm you will see the exact amount, whether it is refundable and under which conditions. The deposit is paid directly to the business through its payment provider.
If a deposit is presented as non-refundable, that condition is prominently indicated before payment. If you cancel within the free-cancellation window, the deposit is returned in accordance with the conditions the business showed when you booked.
In all cases, the amount of a deposit or penalty must be reasonable and proportionate to the actual loss caused to the business (arts. 85–87 of the Spanish Consumer Act, TRLGDCU); disproportionate clauses may be unfair and therefore void. When the service is provided, booking deposits are deducted from the final price.
5Cancellation windows
The free-cancellation window is set by each business (for example, up to 24 or 48 hours before the appointment) and is shown before you confirm. As a general rule:
- Cancellation within the window: free of charge; any refundable deposit is returned.
- Cancellation outside the window: the business may apply the charge set out in its conditions (a full or partial fee, or retention of the deposit), provided you were informed of it and accepted it when booking.
You can cancel or reschedule a booking from your account or by contacting the business directly.
6No-shows & late arrivals
If you miss an appointment without cancelling it (a no-show), the business may apply the no-show fee set out in its conditions, provided it was disclosed to you before you confirmed the booking.
If you expect to arrive late, let the business know as soon as possible. Depending on its policy, the business may shorten the service, reschedule the appointment or, beyond a certain delay, treat it as a no-show.
7Refunds
Refunds are issued by the business through its own payment provider, normally to the same payment method you used. Timing depends on the payment provider and your bank; as a guide, refunds usually take between 5 and 14 business days from the moment the business approves them.
If an approved refund does not arrive within a reasonable time, contact the business first. If you get no response, write to us at support@miespacio.app and we will try to help.
Where a refund is legally due (for example, cancellation within the free window or cancellation by the business), it must be processed without undue delay and in any event within a maximum of 14 calendar days (art. 107.1 TRLGDCU). The time until the money actually arrives may then depend on your bank, card scheme or payment provider.
8Business-cancelled bookings
If the business cancels your booking or substantially changes its essential terms (date, time, service or price), you are entitled to reject the change and receive a full refund of any amount paid — including deposits presented as non-refundable — or to accept a reasonable alternative if the business offers one.
We will notify you of any cancellation using the contact details in your account. If you believe a business cancels repeatedly or unfairly, let us know through our Complaints page: we take this into account when monitoring the platform.
9Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits the rights you have under consumer law, in particular Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (TRLGDCU) and applicable regional legislation.
Regarding the 14-day withdrawal right for distance contracts: under art. 103(l) TRLGDCU this right does not apply to catering services or to services related to leisure activities where the booking provides for a specific date or period of performance (for example a restaurant reservation or an event ticket). For other dated bookings — such as a personal-services appointment — the applicability of the legal exceptions depends on the specific case; in addition, under art. 103(a) the right is lost once the service has been fully performed with your express consent. In all cases, the applicable cancellation conditions are shown before you confirm and never limit your non-waivable statutory rights.
Cancellation and no-show fees can only be applied if they were disclosed to you and accepted before you confirmed the booking.
10Contact
For questions about a specific booking (changes, cancellations or refunds), contact the business first: its details appear in your booking confirmation and in your account.
If you need help with the platform, or cannot resolve the issue with the business, write to us at support@miespacio.app or use the contact form. You can also consult our Complaints and dispute resolution page.
11Data protection
To manage bookings, payments and complaints we process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which contains the information required by the GDPR: the data controller, purposes, legal bases, recipients, retention periods and your rights, including the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
